I've never studied art. I've never even taken an art appreciation class yet I find myself fascinated with my favorite paintings, with photographs. I can draw some animals, cartoon characters but never really thought of myself as an 'art' person. I'm under no delusion that I'm as good as even 1/10th of the artists on Deviant but I like what I'm doing.
What I love is writing. I've even published a few poems here and there. Lately I've written the drafts of two novels. But where I've started getting my kicks is designing book covers for my acquaintances in my writer's workshop who want to self publish or do a digital book.
